Annual Appeal
Every fall letters are mailed to residents and library users seeking donations. Financial support from residents is critical in providing quality library services to residents living in Edgewood, Braddock Hills, Forest Hills, Churchill and Wilkins. Click here to learn more about the Annual Appeal.
EventsEach March the library holds a Book Sale in the ballroom and living room of the Edgewood Community House, 1 Pennwood Avenue, Edgewood, PA. Over 9,000 books and audio-visual items for adults and children are offered for sale during this four-day event. The library accepts donations for the sale throughout the year. We are happy to write letters for tax purposes. Volunteer help is also needed during the year. More information is available in February.

Sunday, March 21 9am-4pm
Monday, March 22 1pm-8pm
Tuesday, March 23 9am-2pm
Area residents are invited to rent tables ($25) for this event to be held on Sunday, May 23 from 9am-3pm in the ballroom and living room of the Edgewood Community house, 1 Pennwood Avenue, Edgewood. Here’s your chance to sell those little used items that are taking space in your attic, closets, and basements. The library will provide the tables and advertise the event. Merchandise
From September through January 15, the library has enjoy books available for sale. These books provide discounts for dining, entertainment, and services throughout Allegheny and surrounding counties. Part of the proceeds benefits the library.
Off white canvas bags bearing a picture of the library's entrance are available for sale at any C. C. Mellor circulation desk. These zipper bags are $15.
